For Master’s degree programs and programs taught in English, students must possess an English language proficiency of at least B2 level, as established by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). B2 proficiency in the required skills can be verified through an international certification recognized as valid by the University (see the list of international certifications recognized by the University of Siena).

The evaluation of English language certifications submitted by prospective students applying for an English-taught degree program is carried out by the individual Teaching Committees, which examine admission applications based on the specifications on this page.

Applicants intending to enroll in an English-taught degree program who cannot demonstrate their proficiency through a recognized certification or other valid documentation may take a fee-based interview aimed at verifying compliance with the B2 English requirement.
